For most of us, life can get pretty hectic at times.

During times of chaos, it's important to take a moment to relax so you can continue to be superwoman! The art of de-stressing doesn't always have to entail getting a massage, soaking in a bubble bath, or watching a long rom-com with a bottle of wine (although all of those are nice too).

Sometimes de-stressing can be as easy as taking one mindful minute.

Don't forget to take care of yourself first. The more we take care of ourselves, the more we can give to others. ​

Here are 3 easy ways to seriously relieve stress... in 1 minute:

  1. Take 3 deep, cleansing breaths.
    Believe it or not, it's really easy to forget to BREATHE! Slow down. Take three deep breaths. In and out. Count to 4 on the inhale and 8 on the exhale.
     
  2. Tense up.
    This may sound counter-intuitive, but just trust us on this one. Take a moment, and slowly tense up every single part of your body, starting from your toes all the way up to your nose! Take a deep breathe, and on the exhale release all of the tension from your body. You'd be surprised at how many places we hold tension without even knowing it! This practice helps us relax mind, body, and soul.
     
  3. Unplug for 60 seconds.
    (After you finish reading this, of course). Just simply take a moment, for 60 seconds and put your phone down (you can even time it if you want). Just take a quick moment to breathe, center yourself, and be present. It can be so easy to get caught up in our to-do lists and social media. Take a moment to pause and just be.
